4x4 Car Extraordinaire - The Latest Defender If you live in Africa (or anywhere in the world for that matter) and you know anything about cars, you most probably know the Land Rover Defender; in fact, even if you died 40 years ago, you still know the recent 2006 model-it looks like the first one! The worlds Greatest Supercars What does it take to make a luxury car desirable? Is it form, long contoured lines that flow together in a sort of blissful metallic harmony? Is it the design maybe; a shape unlike no other that can be both angular and perfectly round at once. Or is it the mechanics of the vehicle, all working in unison to produce a feeling of speed and control that defies logic? It is all of these factors and more that make a luxury car something else-something truly desirable. Motorcars for Supermen Superman is a tough guy, much stronger than your average Joe. Supercars are tough cars, stronger than your average “folk’s wagons”. Wrong! Supercars are made of carbon fiber, and they are ultra light. So why are they called supercars then, why not give the title to the fuel guzzling Humvee, or the immortal Land Rover Defender? I don’t have the answer to this question. One thing I know though, these are not your average cars. 4x4s – which is the best gas? There is a wide variety of car models available for purchase. Deciding which one to buy is a major decision and a huge headache. Soaring petrol prices have also caused another decision to come to light, what type of fuel should my car use, petrol or diesel? Both have positive and negative characteristics to consider.
